There is a famous freeway scene in the movie Matrix Reloaded. But before that happens Trinity and Morpheus escape out of the parking garage in their grey Cadillac. Well, the Wachowski Brothers who are now Wachowski Sisters. Who are well known in the industry for their multiply takes. Well, one day on the set, we were working on the scene, prior to the freeway chase scene, where the Cadillac comes racing out of the garage hitting a ramp on the exist, allowing the car to become airborne, landing on the ground and immediately after impact, the stunt women was supposed to turn on a dime and head up the street. This is what the Wachowski’s wanted the stunt person to do. I would not even ask Evil Knievel, or Neo to attempt a stunt like that. But since Morpheus was in the passenger seat, I guess it was alright.

I would have to say that she did it right the first time. But I don’t know what the shot was supposed to look like, not being close to the second camera and the director. But for some reason, the Wachowski’s were not satisfied and asked her to do it, again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. When you have 500 Million dollars in your budget, you have time for that shit?

Now the camera crew and I, were on the other side of the street facing the exit of the garage. They were attempting to film the stunt of the Cadillac landing on the ground, and exiting up the street. Eventually after so many attempts at getting airborne, landing on the ground, and heading up the street. The stunt driver had gotten tired, and lost control of her car on the last attempt. She tried to turn up the street after hitting the ground and lost complete control of her car. The next thing I know, the Cadillac was headed straight for us. Trinity was at the wheel, Morpheus had a look of terror in his eyes, and Neo was still at Craft Services. Can someone please call the Avengers! We had only a few seconds, so we all dove for our lives. But luckily the only casualty was the camera that she it, that was knocked about two stories in the air, banged against the wall of the building, and landed on the ground. The camera crew was very upset. As they should have been. We all felt that, “Getting the shot.” was not more important than the safety of the crew.

If you want to stand out in a town full Tesla’s, Lamborghini’s, and multi-million dollar homes, with a racial composition that is 78.61 White, 14. 75% Asian, 4.77% Two or more races, 0.92% Black or African American, 0.79 Other race, 0.10%, 0.6% Native American. Then you have to walk a goat. Because in the rural South, status is all about livestock.
