Black youth, running these streets, breaking windows, smashing glass. Not knowing their own self-worth, So they smash and grab. Nike, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Gucci, Zalando, Adidas, Polon Ralph, and Tom Ford. Turning brand names into sacred cows. Placing the Golden Calf above God. Forgetting the struggle, and the grace of God. How soon we forget, 400 years of slavery. the Middle Passage, and the power of God. Remember when we had nothing? And we valued God. Maybe this is a test, when we have choices, will we grab for merchandise, or reach for God. We devalue the spirit because it cannot be seen. And embrace materialism, status symbols, giving praise to what can be seen. Rather than having faith in the unseen. Idol worship is the newest thing. The church of Louis Vuitton is the new Crusades. A religious war, where brick and mortar are the new holy sites. – Lynel Gardner
